The story of our humble Latin grocery store in Toronto began decades ago in a town along the Pacific Ocean.
Fabiola was born in Acapulco, Guerrero. From an early age, she developed a passion for cooking by seeing her Abuela and her mother cook delicious traditional dishes.
Almost fifteen years ago, Fabiola and her husband immigrated to Toronto and founded Tierra Azteca — a Latin food market popular amongst Mexican and Latin Americans living in the city. The market served a small selection of freshly cooked food. As the word spread, Fabiola and her husband saw the need to expand into a full restaurant.
After much planning and preparation, Azteca Restaurant opened its doors in 2015 with a simple mission: to serve authentic Mexican comfort food, cooked fresh every day. Today, it continues to be a favourite spot for those who wish to enjoy the scrumptious taste of real Mexican food.
During COVID-19, the restaurant is offering a full menu for take-out orders. Azteca Restaurant also delivers through SkipTheDishes and Uber Eats.
